OK..sitting at lunch today the local swap & shop had a guy call in said he had a Jubilee for sale. I immeadiatley tried to call him and couldn't get answer. Finally got thru to him and he had said he had 5 calls on it already (in about 10 minutes)and had two guys coming to look at it. I told him I would call back around 5 just to see if it had sold. I called him back around 5 and told him to tell me that he had already sold it. He said "its still here". I asked him what was wrong with it and he said nothing really except the horses ate the paint off while it sit in a field one night. I got there and sure enough. Horses had eaten the paint off. Looked like somebody had beatten the crap out of it with a chain across the hood. No major body damage though. Paints rough, will need sandblasting, all complete however. No major gunk around engine, he said it never burned or used oil. Fluids all looked OK. GAs tank empty and clean, new radiator. Steering, tranny and clutch feel OK. I will go back and start it up this weekend - battery was dead and he said it pull starts failry easily. Bottom line is this: I already have two Jubilees, one (my first) has been totally rebuilt by me, the second has issues but has served me well for two years now. I don't need or have the space for three, but at $2000 this one seems like it would be a good deal as it is significantly complete with no major obvious issues. Can't have too many can you? I know my wife will try to talk some sense (cents!!) into me - but how can I go wrong? I told the guy if it started and ran as he indicated to consider it sold. I will keep you all updated. Later

You should have a tractor for every implement you own and one spare.

Marty

With Fords you dont need a spare. We had a 641,800 and a 2000 3cyl. 4/2 trannie and never had trouble with any of them.
