I saw this on ebay also was interested in it because its only 200 miles from Me.Went to the dealers web site and found it listed there for 3500$,wish they did not have reserve price listings on ebay. The start price should be the minium amount the seller will accept, just my opinion

Could be a 9N or it could be an early 2N. The I-beam style radius rods were replaced by oval rods in 1944. The ebay tractor has the I-beam rods, but it looks to have no aluminum parts that I can detect from the photos. Also the steering wheel is a 3 spoke not a 4 spoke that would be original from an early 9n. I'd email the seller and ask for the serial number.

It looks like it has a snap in battery cover
and smooth hubs which would make it an early '40 or 39 9N. I could not see where the
kingpin grease fittings, starter button and trans dipstick were.

Your comment forced me to take a second look. Sure enough, that could indeed be an aluminum hood with a snap on battery door. Did any steel hoods come with a snap on battery door? I don't know how i missed the smooth hubs. Still learning, I guess.
