Last weekend we exhibited at our first tractor show in the Carl Sandburg Mall in Galesburg, IL hosted by Maple City Antique Tractor Club. All I can say after it was over is if they are all this well run and fun I will be doing a lot of shows. They had 98 advance registrations and it looked like they all showed up. We had to wait until the mall closed on Friday night to bring the tractors inside but the club had people standing outside in the cold lining up tractors to drive in. When we got inside more club members directed each tractor to a parking space and put the carpet squares, required by the mall, under each wheel as the tractors were backed into their spaces. Being our first show we did not know exactly what to expect but my father decided to put some pictures togather of the tractor before, during and after the restoration. It turned out a LOT of people stopped to look at these pictures. It was well worth the little extra effort that was involved in doing it. There ended up being 5 Fords at this show including two 1939s with aluminum hoods. One was Dwight Emstron's experimental S/N EXP 33 and the other one was Marvin Shepherd's S/N 358. It was great being able to talk to these two great guys about their tractors. Paul K in IL
