Going up to WA to visit "Francine" my new but elderly 8N. Need to buy an ORC and want to measure the PTO shaft to see if it original or larger so I get the right part.

Is the Diameter to the outside of the splines, inside of the splines or is it a trade size like conduit where the real dimmension has little to do with the name.

I'm also attempting to change the coil I cooked on the last visit & replace the points so I may be back on-line for advice yet.

Thanks as always!

Coils easy to replace, and so are the points if you pull the dist. 2 bolts and its off and it only fits back on one way. That way you can put in the new points and sit in the kitchen as long as the wife is out shopping that is LOL
