That's one very nice looking N you've got there. "Outstanding in its field" as the joke goes. Welcome to the forum! Are you new to the N forum, or have you been "lurking" here for a while? This is a great place to get advice or just hang out with some down to earth tractor folks. Tell us more about your tractor if you care to. We'd all love to know how you acquired it, what you've done to it, what kind of paint you used, etc.
Carl

Carl---pretty much a "lurker" but have posted before---Looked for over a year for the "right" N and things came together on this one and acquired it about 5 months ago. Tractor was born in Tampa, Florida--but likes the weather in WI. better. Often thought about buying a "newer" tractor but caught the N fever after finding this wonderful site---info from all of you helped me in knowing what to look for. Looked at a lot of em too. My 8N is a work tracor and will be used for mowing about 20 acres of a tree plantation and hauling timber and firewood out of the bottoms on my property.

Beautiful! What year? Recent acquisition? Planning on doing shows, or work with it - or both? :-) A well cared for, hard working tractor is one of the best sights.

Colin

Colin--this is a 51 N---picked up last year after about 10 months of looking---kind of just "came together" right and seemed to be what I was looking for---a long story really---plan on using it to mow and spray about 20 acres of newly planted (2004) trees---some in far background. Touching up the paint makes it look better than it really is----not a "show" tractor, but I like it.
