I got the lift working after my rebuild, primed it after putting it back together and started her up, waited for a while to let the fluid get warm and then tested the lift.

It was in the down position, lifted handle and lift came up as well, all the way to top, smoothly and perfectly. Put lever down, lift stayed up. Lifted up on lift with hands and let fall down and the lift was able to be pushed down, but then immediatly rose back up. When i had the lift valve assembly apart i didn't mess with anything around the levers. Just took piston out and did some cleaning.
Any thoughts on this one.

Yep - you got a valve sticking. Mine did that as well on my Project Rustbucket and I had to take it apart a second time. It has to be REALLY clean as well as your hydraulic manifold (that is what got me). You might get lucky running a bit of ATF in your hydraulic fluid and see if that cleans out whatever is making the valve stick - sometimes it works.

Good luck,
Dan
