Okay, I've had my '54 NAA for a couple of months now. It’s my first tractor and so far I love it. One of the best ways in which it has enriched my life is the discovery of this board (first tractor and first discussion board, imagine that). Anyway, I think I've learned enough about the machine to ask some intelligent questions now (we'll see) so here goes.
My NAA has non-standard rear wheels. The tire call size is "12 x 28 on 11 inch rims". I'm okay with this, it gives the tractor a bigger look and feel, but there's a problem. The hydraulic lift doesn't seem to go low enough for some implements staying some 12 to 14 inches off the ground when down all the way. My question, is there some way to adjust for this? Maybe use longer lift arms and/or longer leveling arms. Will leveling arms from a 100 or 1000 series Ford work?
Thanks in advance!

Phil..... ..you know that you can put the leveling arm/box assy (the crank'em thingy) on both left and right hydraulic arms and that the arms can be extended about 3" each. I don't know how low that will lower your lower lift arms but that is how they get plows deep into the ground.

Another alternative is to "block" your problem implements up with some chunks of 6X6 wood. Cinderblocks are generally too fragile.

FYI.... the cat 1 3-point specs call for the lift arms to go down to 8" and to lift 30". ..... ..Dell

Phil..... .might depend if'n the universal joint up at lift arms are compatable. Remember if'n you use those longer arms, your total lift won't be as high but the delta lift will probably be the same..... ..Dell

Aaahh, yet another thing I learned on this Board. Thanks again, Dell, and I hope you fixed your truck and your sheep are happy.
