I HAVE A FRIEND WHO WANTS TO SELL A LOADER AND FRONT PUMP OFF A FORD 641. CAN THIS LOADER BE MOUNTED ON A 52 8N WITH SLIGHT MODIFICATION TO THE REAR BRACKETS ?

Most of the Ford 700-series loaders were ordered w/ a separate mounting kit so it could be fitted to your tractor model(N, NAA, or hundred).

If your friend's loader is one of the 700's the front bracket may be the one needs modifying. The rear brackets are usually adjustable.

If you find out it's one of the 700-series loaders let me know, I have several of the manuals, we can see better what'll be req'd.

I ALSO HAVE THE OPTION OF PURCHASING THE 641. WOULD THIS BE BETTER THAN RETRO FITTING TO THE 8N. WOULD IT BE A BETTER TRACTOR TO HAVE A LOADER ON ?

If the loader os on his 641 check to see what it would look like if the rear axel was 4 inches forward of where it is, that's what it will look like on your 8N. Many loaders have another set of mounting holes on the mounting brackets.

If you were close to SE Nebraska, I'd sell you the Dearborn Loader I took off my 49 8N, then you'd be sure!

Ravi..... ....probably. Depending upon the rear axle brackets. The 8N's wheelbase is about 4" shorter than the 600. Many brackets are multi-wheelbase adjustable. Ya pays yer moneys and takes yer chances. Iff'n it don't fit, re-sell it..... ....Dell
