A friend who is netless asked me to try and find some info on an 8n tractor he just bought. It is painted yellow and does not appear to have ever been any other color. The usual spot on the block that has the serial # stamped is blank and has never had any numbers stamped there. The rear axle has no casting dates and the only place that gives the model Number is an 8n on the bell housing. There are no other model numbers any where else on the tractor. There is a plate rivited to the transmission housing just above the 8n that says Industrial Tractor made my Ford motor company. ,with the serial number 1096-GICG.Can anyone give us any info on this tractor? Also , the lift arms are longer by 2 or 3 inches than the lift arms on my 2n.

I'm wondering about my engine as well. The usual place the S/N is stamped is stamped JC-190. This engine was painted orange. Doesnt look as though it had ever been painted red.
