I just bought a 1950 8n.It runs great pulls good, but the clutch sticks almost ever time.I have tried bloking it down, dropping the plows down and slipping the clucth in 4 gear.It still sticks. On the bottom the cotter key is oily,it is seeping oil of some kind seems thin.I am going to chang out the gear oil to 90 wt.What else can I try with out putting a new clutch in?

Thank you dave8n
I had thought about spraying brake cleaner in the hole in the side where you look at timing marks. But was not sure if it would hurt any thing.I will try it .

Brake / Carb cleaner won't hurt much down there.. and Do go to the heavier oil.. and don't overfill.. Just fill till it dribbles from the lower bolt hole in the round dipstick cover.. that way oil won't be pooled around the tranny input shaft seal or the axle seals.. And keep the clutch blocked when not in use..
