Its either a 9N or 2N not sure yet. Has the I-beam type radius rods so I figure its a 9N. Also has 16 inch front tires on it which I guess came from some other tractor. Engine is locked up so will have to see if I can loosen it up. Also got a brush hog, back blade carry all and wood splitter with it. Thats 7 tractors in 3 weeks guess I should take a brake and not buy any more LOL. Like that will happen. LOL

It's amazing how many 8N's are actually 9N/2N tractors when seen in person. What part of the country do you live in where Fords can be picked up so easily, and I assume cheaply? Where I'm from they always bring good money even in poor shape. Been looking for an 8N with a bad engine for a long time but they all bring too much money. Wish I had the Ford tractor "problems" you have.

I have an 8N with a bad engine, and a 9N with a bad engine. I'd sell the 8N but think I'm going to try to make one good tractor out of the 2 9Ns and then maybe sell it. I have around 25-30 tractors and guess I'm getting to many irons and not enough fire LOL. Drop me an e-mail for more info

Wow. LOTS of cool implements with that one, Old! Had it been painted like an 8N, is that why the guy thought it was one? As for the numbers of tractors you rotate in and out of your place, WHEW! I can just barely handle taking care of fixing ONE!!! --Dawn

Well, if you want to unload the brush hog, carry-all, or woodsplitter, let me know.

Seven!?

I am still bugging the guy up the road about the 8N he has sittin' in his yard. If I get that it would be number two in two years.

Scott

You would have to see this splitter, is aboyr 8 foot lond on a trailor, and uses PTO drive shaft to a gear box. Its a night mare and a widow maker. Drop me an e-mail and we can talk about this stuff. I buy them to real sale to keep them from going to China.

OK, this is going to sound a little strange, but it sounds to me like that tractor up the road WANTS you to rescue him. I forget who suggested you should ask the guy there for the name and phone number of the fellow who owns that tractor so you can call him yourself, but I'm thinking that might be a good idea. --Dawn

Actually, a woman owns the tractor, and she does not winter in VT. Maybe I'll get to talk to her soon.
