Rebuilt the carb after soaking overnight and blew it out. It seems fine. Soaked and cleaned the fuel
inlet screen. Same problem. Using starter fluid this time. I guess I'll tear down the carb again and keep trying. It has to be somewhere in there.

?Fuel injection kit run off the generator belt?
I need this thing to run, but I am stubborn and don't want to pay $150 for a "NEW'(read not as good) carb. This thing ran fine for 52 years and still LOOKS good(the carb that is)! Sure is cleaner now!! Maybe I can rig a cam to squirt gas every 10 or 20 revs.

Screw out the mixture needle several turns. My carb kit said 2 turns and wouldn't run unless choked all the way. Screwed mixture needle out 4 turns and ran well enough to adjust the mixture correctly.

Had the same problem with a complete rebuild on my 9N,had the carb apart three times before I found the little jet plugged up with rust its under the main jet which you take out with a nut driver.Hope this helps. It takes a narrow bladed screw driver to get the little jet out.

I haven't read any of the other posts that you did the other day, but is you air cleaner clear? I guess you have taken off the fuel line to make sure you have good flow of gas to the carb? Checked the screen going into the carb? Float level ok and not hanging up when you put it back together? (blow in the fuel connection when you have it held level, then invert it to make sure your float is shutting off the fuel flow. It sure makes you mad when you can't get it to run, but keep trying and you will get it. Flusterating in the mean time. Good luck. Make sure you have no leaks around the intake manifold. Try spraying starting fluid around it while cranking, but be careful not to burn it to the ground.
