The manure's all hauled, and the sap's all gathered. I guess it's finally time to put the 8N in storage until spring. She's earned the rest and it'll do her good to have an extended break.

your all done sugaring it ,, how was your season, . I have a neighbor that used to do it until his boy got older and found better things to do, I am actually taking my family that never saw it done before to a sugar house this morning and have a pancake breakfast, here it was a short season the weatheer didnt cooperate at all, I miss the fun and the work,, but most of all the darker syrup, fancy was good for selling, but darker I felt was better tasting, have a good one pat

Pat, we just started cooking yesterday. Only done gathering for the year. We just do a couple gallons of syrup for our own use. Strictly kettle cooking so far. I'd like to get or build an evaporator. Ron
