OFF Topic, but I got Satellite internet and had a problem with lost signal during heavy rain storms. I am NOT going to get in an argument about why you lose signal during heavy storms, but, I did find a product that helps with signal lost.

In an attempt to help keep water running off the Dish, I cleaned it with RainX. Not raining yet so can't comment on that.

HOWEVER,, my signal strength went up!! Was at 68 now is 80!! CooL

Boy tell you what,, that stuff is slick... simply spray it on a CLEAN dish and wipe it off sort of like wax on a car finish. will let you
know how it does on the long run.

IF I had satellite TV would durn sure try it on that as well. I do remember losing signal when it rained back when I had TV on satellite.

Are you sure that your rubbing may have moved the alignment to improve your reception? Have someone watch the signal
strength meter and touch the dish slightly
to see if it improves orgets worse.

RainX works great on windshields too. Been using it since about 1981. Put it on windshield doorglasses & mirrors, rarely have to use my windshield wipers. Even when folkes are pulling off the road cause it's raining so hard.

I posted that easy fix just a few days ago when Dawn said something about snow on her dish. It works for both rain and snow.
