rebuilt 9n engine, the 12 volt conversion kit added, front mount distributor, 12 volt coil. When the engine warms up it starts skipping, not sure if it is electrical or fuel related. Anyone have this problem, it also has a new carbuerator. Thanks.

Pete..... .....there are 4-common runtime issues with the frontmount 9N-engine.

1) runs for about 1-min before it starts missing from weak sparkies; bad condenser
could be yer problem, but you wern't explanitory enuff
2) runs for about 5-mins before it starts missin' from weak mixture; clogged fuel filters could be yer problem, but you wern't explanitory enuff
3) runs for about 15-mins before it starts missing from weak sparkies; gunked ignition switch
most likely yer problem, but you wern't explanitory enuff for certainity
4) runs for about 1-hr before it starts missing from weak sparkies; bad ignition coil
NOT yer stated problem

HTH..... ....Dell

It could be the coil or the condensor.

Do you have a 1/2 Ohm "current limiting resistor" ahead of your "12-Volt" coil?

Does adjusting the mixture screw have any effect on how it runs when it's missing?
