I just fired up my lawn tractor. First time this season. Steering used to be real easy. Now it takes two men and a boy to turn it. What happened? Nothing appears bent. All ideas (fixes) are appreciated! Its a JD Sabre 15.5 HP 38" cut. Thanks.

Being a fan and long time JD yard tractor owner, got only one suggestion for you. Grease the front end. On my last two and this newone, there is a pivot point on the middle of the front axle, where it can pivot up and down. There is a grease fitting there. Also, grease everything you can find fitting wise. The steering on all of mine have been real picky.. I finally got in the habit of greasing them everytime I put gas in before mowing. One I did not do that one everytime and that front end cratered. Either that or something is bad bent! Lift up the front end with out hooking to the axle and steering assembly and move it back and forth, see what is binding.

Good luck!!
