I used the Brillman 9N wiring harness and was very impressed with it. It comes with full instructions and all wires are labled for easy installation. The wire insulation is the original woven cotton and it looks great. Check out their spark plug wire sets too. They too have the woven cotton insulation and are precut to the perfect length. His stuff is a little pricey but you get what you pay for. www.brillman.com

Paul as you may or may not know, there were 3 generators for the 9N, 9N-10000-A Two wire that had voltage regulator; 9N-10000-B that was one wire that used cut out and 9N-10000-C that was one wire that used cut out, not to mention the different ignition switch locations. When you start shopping for a wire harness, be sure and let the supplier know what you have....Kelly.

I've never bought any wire from these folks but a long time ago someone posted the link. Might be worth hecking.

I own a company that builds wiring harnesses, and we braid harnesses all the time. I am not sure it is the right type of braid, but it might be.

Selling my old Pop up camper and buying a brand spanking new 29' travel trailer. My research time has shifted from antique tractors to gross vehicle weights, weight distributing hitches (brands, advantages, designs, reviews, etc.), brake controllers, and general RV info. You know I research everything to an obsessive degree, plus the saftey of my family while I am pulling this big mobile house is of utmost importance to me.

However, weekends at the property will now be MUCH more enjoyable and easier to set up and tear down - plus the wife is happy. And you know the old saying - "If momma ain't happy - NOBODY is happy" :-)

Dan: I did all this research 6 years ago & settled on a 35 ft. 5th wheel which I pull with my 350 Ford diesel dually. I don't know if you have a truck to haul a 5th wheel, but they're much easier to haul and safer on the road than regular trailers with any kind of hitch.

Not to hijack this thread - but we have a 2003 Expedition, so the 5th wheel was out. We are getting a 29' travel trailer that weighs about 7000 lbs. dry. My problem is not the trailer weight, my Expedition can pull 9000 lbs - my problem is tongue weight. The max tongue weight my Expedition reciever hitch can handle is 865 lbs, and the camper has a 915 dry tongue weight. We are getting an expensive weight distribution hitch, but no one can tell me if that actually reduces the reciever hitch weight and moves it to the trailer axles, or if it only spreads the rear car axle weight over the front car axle and trailer axles - leaving the full 915 lbs. on the reciever hitch... This is my delimma, and the cause for all my extensive research...

Yeah, I know about the Mama thing. mine has been reminding me of all the things that need my attention. I guess that I will get busy with some of them now that the Jubilee is "finished." She is really patient with me, though and that is a good thing.
