First let me thank Bob and David O for their expert info on my 12 volt conversion with the pertronix electronic ignition.

I also asked for info related to a friend who bought a rebuilt 9n that has a cracked engine block..... .....any thoughts..... ..can it be fixed..... .or can you get a rebuilt somewhere?

Where"s the crack?

I found a shop that did forge welding on a long freeze crack. Was cheaper then finding another block and everything stays original, if that is important.

Good Luck!

A lot depends on where the crack is and how bad it is to if it can be fixed. I have seen a lot of blocks fixed with JB weld but my self I would never do it. As far as getting another block this site and or val-bilt has them. Shoot I even have a block I'd sell once I get done with an engine swap I'm doing in the next few days.
