I found an 8n with a dearborn cab. If restored...does this cab make it alot more valuable or is the cab not real rare?

The only one I ever seen was at an auction at Webster city Iowa. brought $250 and the guy who bought it had it on ebay a week later with no bids that I ever seen. He was only asking $500 starting bid. Wasn't much to it 4 post and a top. I'm like Dell, I wouldn't give $10 for one. Probably because I have a $179 heat houser that I never use anymore. John

Duane..... ...is the hard metal cab rare? Yes. Does it have value? Yes. Would I pay "extra" to have that rare N-Tractor dealer installed accessory? NO! I am NOT a collector. I have no need for a cab, therefore it has no value to me, yet it still has value. Probably in the $200-500 range.

Is the soft canvas cab rare? The "heat-houser" canvas cab is more common and is still available from agricultural emporiums. ($200, cheap)

And then there are "home-built" cabs. Some are well-done, others are very ricketity jerry-built.

The value of any tractor accessory is dependant upon the degree of desirability and the negoationability skills between buyer and seller..... ..respectfully, Dell, the cheap

I have been looking for one for a while with no luck. I want to make a snow machine.

ButtonRock, I have decided that I don't think that I an as intrested as I originally thought that I was in restoring this. If you are still looking for one and wouldn't mind going to mid Ohio to get it, then e-mail me and I will give you directions. duanehagen@yahoo.com
