49 8N. Im doing the spring oil change and want to know opinions about adding MMO. Too many archives come up with a search for "MMO" I do not got the paitence to read them all. Rebuild is about 6 yrs old, still decent running and almost no smoke. But will it prevent problems or help to add MMO? Or should I just keep on keeping on?
Thanks Rick T.

Yep. hvw spake the truth. Wanna wash off decades of dirt and sludge and send it through your bearings etc., and then have bright, shiney non-moving engine parts (that previously were protected from internal rust by a nice coating of varnish) start rusting and sending rust-flakes thru your engine regularly?
Oil. Nothing but nice, clean, oil Link

My opinion is it won't gain much if you "use" your tractor. If you just puttsey around and never load it or seldom get it up to at least PTO speed then it is a candidate for stuck rings. This also comes from lack of regular oil and filter changes. Then MMO helps keep things cleaned up.

If you plan to put some in do it before you change the oil. Run it a few hours and work it hard. Then change the oil. Don't put it back in when you change the oil. What that will do is clean things up insdie and the when you change the oil what has been cleaned up and came loose will be poured out in the old oil.

If you're not having any trouble I wouldn't put anything in the engine but engine oil.
