Does anyone have drawing specs on making limiter chains? I searched the archives but the pictures were no longer available.

...or can I just rig up my own set up with some good chain, quick links and go from the brush hog lift pins to a bolt/pin in the bottom hole of the upper part of the 3 point hitch?

Thank you.

-Sal

Sal, I buy the Woods brkts that have a 3/4 hole for the top link pin and a Key Hole for the chain to lock in. Woods shows these for the RM-59 etc. and recommends using a 3/4" bolt with lock nut rather than a long top link pin and does seem to work better. I've bolted these under the rear fenders on show tractors, great tie downs.....Kelly.

Hey Kelly,

Do you have a picture of that style set-up? I'd like to see how those work.. It sounds like they are better than just using chain links and rigging one that way. I have a 4 foot bush hog and if I could get some limiter chains, it would take the load off my hydrauling pump while working at a constant level.

Also I was trying to get in touch with you about the used transmission parts, did you get my email?

Thanks,
Scott

That is what I did with my 5' finish mower. The 7.5' came with the chain hooks for the back of the tractor. Both ways work just fine.
