I have a 52 8N. Done a pretty good bit of work to it, and it's working fine. Have been enjoying the forum and decided to sign in.

Welcome from Texas! I signed in about 4 years ago & my wife has regretted it ever sense. Restoring my *8N 4778* would have been much less fun w/o these guys & gals.

Jeff

Dear 52 8N I have been here for around 3 years now and I would like to warn you that it can be very Adictive. I think I log in 3 to even 4 times every day just to see what is happening. It seems now that I can't help myself anymore. There are many good and helpful people on this site. Welcome aboard. B. Jones, North Central Missouri.

I've got a 52 also that I first bought in 1984. Sold it a year or so later and it was given back to me 19 years later. I think the 52's are the really the best of the bunch since they contain all the improvements. You'll enjoy it here.

Glad to have you aboard, 52.

I have a 51 8N so it is nearly the twin to yours.

The Ns are simple, rugged, and overdesigned in many areas. Additionally, due to the vast numbers built, replacement parts are readily available at reasonable prices.

Though I will not be around to judge, I expect that very few of the small tractors built today will still be in service in 2050+.

Dean

It's the first tractor I have ever owned, and the only one I ever wanted. I don't have a farm, just about 2 acres in south MS, just above the Katrina water line. I did find out after using the tractor a while, 8Ns have a lot of limitations, but that's what makes them so simple. Even though they haven't been made in 50 years, when you say "tractor" to the average person, they see an 8N.
