Just wondering..... .been doiN an annual inspection on my residence. Noticed that the regulator on my PROPANE cookN stove, here, is loaded with cobwebs. Most gas, both nat. and propane, regulators contain a "vent".

What kind of "critter" is dat small to be able to get in there and make COBWEBS?

Hate to have my cook stove quit before it is time.

Thanks..... ..John,PA

Worked for a RV heating and A/C concern while in college....more years ago than I care to remember....and the presence of spider webs in propane gas jet orifices was a very common problem. Don't know if the little buggers like the smell or if they just find the accommodations cozy. At any rate, cleaning out the pilot light orifice is something that should be done every year in order to remove any squatters that have taken up residence during the off season. I could have made a fortune selling replacement controls and pilot light assemblies, but always asked the customer if they had checked for spiders in the pilot orifice first. Ninety percent of the time, once the webbing material was removed, everything worked just fine. Its a simple procedure that can save you a bundle. Hope this helps.

Hey.....
My grandaughter just departed BWI fer DENVER. I certainly hope they vaccuumed the interior of the BOEING just right. Or else, she will probably send word to the Captain to "do it yourself, next time".

Well, it is a known fact, around here at least, that 90% of residential/industrial fires are caused by "natural phonenomen", mice, squirrels, dogs&cats, even "KEDS" (the shoes). All of the rest are listed "suspicious in nature" by our local fire marshall. It drives the homeowner's insurance adjusters absolutely crazy, at times, until my electrician friend RULES.

Hope this helps the "CAMPERS". John

I had to inform our local "mom&pop" gas outfit about our technology of COBWEBS in THEIR regulators and other various components.

According to our reasearch on the "subject" of "cobwebs" our findings are as follows"

DUSTMIGHTS will indeed create "cobwebs" when left ALONE during a dormate period of activity.

Thanks so much, Old, for your concern.

Kindly submitted,....John,PA

The propane supplier just changed the propane tank and regulator. They do this once a year.

I guess the new regulator must have been lay'n around for awhile, in their warehouse.

Thanks again. John,PA
