I took my governer apart. Checked every thing and adjusted to the book. It still did not work. I took it to a shop in Kingman Kansas. They took out 3 shims and adjusted one of the arms. The difference is that they used a tool designed specifically for governer adjustments. It cost me $12 bucks. Let me know if you are having problems and I will give you the address and contact info for Keeling Tractor Co.

At times it helps to have some one who knows what they are doing to fix a problem.I have fixed electric fence chargers for 50 years.I can usually tell by the sound of the charger when an output transformer has failed.A fellow was trying to diagnose a fence charger problem on a forum.Had some good laughs reading the replies. He finally sent it to the factory for repair.Attempted repairs are a problem, parts are often left out.

This is the link that I used to rebuild mine. Pretty straight forward with the pics. No fiber washer needed on a early 9N.
