Just a short note to say THANKS to those of you that have been helpful in the past, Keep up the good advice and help you provide.

Another note, those of you who are so bored all you do is attack and flame and belittle users here, take a pill and back away from the computer. I have been belittled and attacked for the last time. I don't need this!

There was someone else here recently who also left after being flamed, I understand now.

Those of you with good advice and help suggestions, speak English! Your cute attempts to sound funny or country are almost unintelligible. Listening Dell? You have a ton of knowledge,, but if you can't construct a sentence in understandable English.. Why bother? If you want to write a comedy book, write it, but answer questions in understandable English.

The other reason I am leaving is, my Ford has been over on the Folks farm for sometime now as I have no use for it here on this small place. The folks, being up in years and not in good health, have decided to sell the farm. Including all the machinery. So, just as well get rid of the Ford as well.

The majority of you have been helpful and offered good constructive suggestions and help and advice that I no longer have use for nor the time to sort though the board.

Solution to Problem in reply to Ole Country Boy, 07-07-2006 06:06:44
If Dell was banned from this forum, all problems would go away. He may be knowledgeable, but others can answer the same questions he answers without the rudeness. The atmosphere certainly would change for the better here at this fine site.

That's my opinion, you're entitled to yours, I'm entitled to mine.

John

No flame here.. but remember tht source of a 'ton of knowledge'.. well he doles it out for free.. If he want's to type 'kuntryfied' so be it. if the poster asking the questions doesn't like it.. they can always pay someone to fix their tractor instead of getting the free advice.. etc.

OCB I don't post here much anymore since finishing my restoration on my daddy's 8N. A restoration that would not have been possible without the help of many on this board - including Dell. One thing I've found is that if more people would use the search function you'll see that just about any question you can think of to ask has already been asked and answered about a hundred times. I now hang out a lot on the Off Topic Board. I'd like you to come on over there. We never flame anybody. (Tongue now firmly in cheek).

I have been coming to this board for about 2 years now. I dont post much because I am not the one with the knowledge to do so, But I do ask questions. I have learned alot by just keeping my mouth shut and reading. There are always people that try to cause problems no matter where they are or what they are doing and if we let them then they win, but we have to (LET) them. I value every post from everyone on here and take some with a grain of salt and some with much seriousness.

As for Dell, all I have ever seen from him is the desire to help. No matter how often the question is asked or how silly some of those on the board think it is. There are always new people coming on this board and hopefully there always will be. If we continue to lose the knowledge that some of you have what are the ones like me supposed to do when we have a problem? This not only goes for Dell but for all those that truly love these old pieces of iron.

Dell is number 1. Anybody can't take it must never have been in boot camp. You gotta get yelled at to learn something. Dell takes his licks like a man and he gets plenty. This board is not exactly face to face, so chill out!

Man I sure love this forum. But you know what? It sure has changed alot. I'm truly sorry for anyone who cannot stand up like man and take a licking. As far as flaming, that is wrong too. Their is enough back biting and hatred in this world without bringing it to this board. Have a happy redneck Evening.

This is just flat stupidity, The past few times I have cruised this forum I have read that another one of the more helpful members of this community have been chased away. I don't know what the nature of these emails are but it is obvious that the intent is to tear up a very helpful community.

Email me as you wish, tell me how I misuse the english language, tell me I am wrong, that I am nothing but an ignoramus. Frankly I could care less what someone thinks of me, heck you just might be right. I am here for one reason and that is to commune with a few others who for what ever reason have a fondness for these little grey hooded tractors that we all call N and who have a heart to see them run another 66 years. The help I have taken from this forum has come from many sources not just one or two. Often it is 3 or 4 answers that finally bring me to an answer that I use to solve the problem. As for Dell, heck I am guessing that if you called him on the phone he would sound alot like he types, gruff with a good disregard for the teachings of his english teachers but all wrapped in a heart of gold willing to lend a hand or knowledge to anyone then again I suspect if you could see his face all of this is occompanied by a big big grin as he talks about something he has a passion for an N.

Ole Country Boy, if your leaving was just from the fact you have lost your intrest in the N that is cool and I wish you the very best, but the fact that part of the reason is due to somebody... what a shame. You will be missed.

James

If you still wish to talk N tractors you could go to www.Ntr@torclub.com @=a

It's a little smaller N board that just does N's and hundred series, Don't think I've EVER seen any flaming done there.

I too seldom post but always read. You know, we(I and my wife) raised 6 kids, with 6 personalities. who have 6 spouses with 6 more personalities, who are raising 12 of our grandkids with 12 more different personalities.Even my 70 year old wife of 50 years has to go to bed with a 72 year old man (me) and a Pisces and a Libra according to the zodiac calender are direct opposets. ALL of us celabrated a family anniversary on the 4th. If every one would "take" more then they"gave" this world be much better. I hate to see ya go Country, ya gotta realize its hard to determine a persons REAL personality via email. I know over the years I have wrote things on this board and lots of other places that were taken wrongly.People from different parts of the country take things differently, north ,south ,left coast ,right coast we all have different personaities. I hate that you had any problems, I personally appreciate everyones input although sometimes it stings a little. As for Dell he may sound a little rough but he knows his stuff and I just bet ifn you was broke down out in WA and he could help ya he would bust his butte to do it.

Well, hell, Ole Country Boy, this really stinks. I"m really sorry that this is happening. I just don"t know what to do other than shake my head. Growing up in the "email age" has tought me (the painful way) that email is one of the handiest tools of comunication, but it is often too easy to write and click the button, sending stupid and hurtful things. Some folks still have to learn this lesson, I guess. I sure hope they learn it fast before more good folks like you feel like they have to leave.

I wish you and your folks well and good health. I"m sorry to hear about the impending sale of the farm.

And thanks for the advice you"ve given me these past few months. It"s been a pleasure to be on this board with you.

Sincerely,
Colin King, Minnesota
