8N Floods out

When mowing grader ditches, my 8N floods out when the right hand wheels are high. Has no problem with left hand being high. Leave it set for 30 minutes (with gas shut off) and it will finally restart (flooded). Drive until level and turn gas back on and you're good go.

Tractor starts very good when cold without choking.

Have I got a defective float? Float too high? Any ideas?

I just have been planning my mowing with the left hand wheels high.

Yes, I know you have to be careful with rollovers.

Thanks for the help.

You might have trash in your tank that is plugging the in tank filter on top of the shutoff valve. I have had the float stick rubbing the side of the carb case, too. Check em for that when apart.HTH

Definately need to check the condition of the float and make sure the float level is set to proper specs.

Forgot to mention, the float is a double float, both sides need to be in spec.

I dont think you told us but I assume it is what I would call bullit proof tsx type marvel/schebler.I assume it has a brass float. Most floats have an inverted setting and a maximun drop setting. This is to prevent sticking in the dry mode. In your case it sounds like the float on one side is not free.If the float has a good solid pivot pin&mount.I would bend the float or floats so they are centered.Best Wishes Len
