I read your post on carb repair and adjustment. Its a good one. I am having minor problems with mine and plan to tear it down again and really soak/boil the carb out good this time. I will try some of your suggestions. It runs and starts ok but will die for unknown reasons at the worst times. Not often, just when someone is watching:^)

I had one that fer no reason it would pomp and die at low to 1/3 throttle 'bout the time the gov would try and pull in, the idle circuit wuz restricted and it had a hard time mid way between idle and main circuit changes, you have to remember the idle circuit plays a big part till 1/2 throttle or so. You should be able to pop the throttle leaver with yer hand , hot engine and no hesitation. If it needs choke hot to start I think restricted idle circuit. Good luck I paid my dues to figgeer this out and still git beat up sumtimes
