Can someone explain to me how these linkages are to be set up including all adjustments from throttle to the governor and carburator?

Here is the 8N linkage on my 52-8N. Throttle is different from 2N.

You did not state what type of tractor this help is for?
I attached some pictures for you of my 43 2N linkage set up. Hope this helps.
The vertical black linkage is the throtle and you should abe able to see the Gov to Carb linkage.

This is a 8N as stated in the subject. Someone posted about the throttle range but I couldn't quite understand what was being relayed in that post. Can anyone else elaborate?

Long rod goes from throttle lever to the long, outboard lever on governor, Short rod goes from short lever, inboard (next to engine) to the throttle plate on the carb.

There is an adjustment screw on the back of the governor to set the max speed at 2200 rpm. I've never had to mess with this one.

The only adjustment I could find in the linkage on either of my 8N tractors is in the long rod. This should be adjusted so that the governor lever contacts the stop just as the hand throttle lever is placed in the last (full throttle) notch. You may have to bend this rod to adjust it.

I just finished reading down through some of the other recent messages. It seems that carb adjustments have already been covered in deadly detail, with the usual slight variations we can chalk up to personal preference. Try a few of those and see what works best for you.
