Thanks Cal for your post. I have a similar question.
I know that sway bars have to be attached to an implement to be used, but in between pulling implements should they be removed completely? Does the front of the bar have to be removed when not in use? it seems that there should be a way I can keep them attached to the lift arms in-between hogging or mowing. I am always switching from mowing to hogging and need an easy way to switch equipment. I just got a set of these bars from INDIA of all places. I wish I could by American steel but it is just not around.

What you are refering to as sway bars are actually "stabilizer bars".

On my 850 I have a spare hole in the base of my seat spring. I use black rubber bungee cords attached to that hole to hold my sway bars up out of the dirt when not attached to an implement.

If you have the original type lift arms and the lynch pins with the keeper chain on them just wrap the chain around the sway bar and put the pin in it's storage slot on the side of the lift arm. Not good for road travel, but works great when moving from one implement to another.
