Generator pulley alignment

I remounted the generator on my 8N today and noticed for the first time that the generator's pulley is slightly ahead of the fan and crankshaft pulleys. The offset is probably not more than about 1/4" but it bothers me. The generator pulley can't go any further back and the generator only mounts in one position. Is this typical? I don't see any options for changing it.

Also, does anyone make a stainless 8N horizontal exhaust?

Thanks for any advice.

Repost and ask iffin sumone has a pix, I still bet yers izz on backerd's. I have always been able to turn'em a round to git the belt to align.
If you kin not reverse the pulley then sumin izz missin at the alt front bearing, a OEM pulley kin be installed both ways and werk.

Hi Hobo. Thanks for your response. I have a question though about turning the pulley around. Currently the side towards the generator is the flat side. In the center of this side is a "snout" that fits in the generator's end cap recess and butts up against the shaft bearing. If I turn the pulley around the retaining nut will push the pulley on until it's face hits the housing. It seems to me the pulley is on te right way. Appreciate your advice. Thanks.
