Lift Arms?

The lift arms on my 8N are bent, about 1" to 1-1/2" of sweep/bow on them. I haven't really found this to be a problem, but it is a real pain to crank the leveling arm. I have inspected them and I don't see any cracks on them, and they are doing the work I need just fine. I am thinking that "if it aint broke then don't fix it"...plus I am tight with my money.

My quesiton is this, should I be concerned about one of the arms breaking when under load (and have a huge mess) and just replace them now or is it o.k. to just leave them as they are since I can live with it?

For the record they were bent when I got the N ...how could the guy have done this...back into a wall at full throtel???

Thanks.

He was probably plowing snow and trying to move a big pile all at once by using "ramming speed".

Sal..... .A good machine shop with a big hydraulic press can straighten the bow outta your lift arms. Depending...it might be cheeper to buy new arms.

But I would be more concerned with the lower link pin socket in the cast iron axle trumpets being cracked..... ..Dell
