Alright, i didn't have a lot of time before, and now i am not with the tractor. However, it has basically been sitting since winter, however i have started it a few times, but not for more than a few minutes.

I have tried starting fluid, still with no avail at all. I have since taken the carb apart and checked it, beautiful nothing at all in it, still shiny.

I always check the plugs one at a time so i know that i have not mixed up the wires, so the timing should be the same.

I have to do the, suck on the hand trick, because my instincts tell that it is not getting fuel. Perhaps i do have some ring issues or worse, valve issues, but they worked perfectly since i have owned the tractor. I would also think that since it still turns over so slow that it is getting compression or else it would turn faster, right? Also wouldn't at least one cylinder fire? What is the chances of every valve, or every ring failing? With my luck probably good!

In my experiance, starting fluid, although incredibly bad for cylinders always gets results, and i am getting nothing.

i agree with the stuck valve issue. in addition to soaking the cyls with mmo or atf fluid and kero.. i think I'd remove the valve cover and wash the whole area out with the same mix as you put inthe cyls.

Much worse news. It would seem that i have some valve issues. My father, I am in Md not anywhere near my beloved tractor, tried cranking it with his hand on the carb which someone suggested, and she didn't suck at all. So then he pulled all the plugs again. #1 blew his thumb off the hole, #1,2 and 3 did nothing, no compression at all. So i guess that either means that at least 3 valves failed at once, or three sets of rings failed too.

Speaking of rings, someone here said that i could have stuck rings, and i should dump some marvel mystery oil in each cylinder. I guess i don't understand that, if they are stuck doesn't that just mean that over time they will score a groove in the liner? It won't really effect compression, or will it?

So i guess my next step is A) never let the tractor go 2 months without running again, 2) pull the intake/exhaust manifold, and the valve covers and see what is going on, perhaps i can free them up from there. Gawd i hope so.

Do you all think that maybe i am on the right track, perhaps any other suggestions?

With your dad feeling no compression with his finger from 3 cylinders, my gut feeling is stuck valves. Even with stuck rings they should still fit the cylinder well enough to get a little compression on starter crank over. When the valve sticks open it just lets the air flow through either way it wants to and any time it wants to. That is my calculated guess, but please don't ask my wife how many times I have been wrong!!

Well with that type of problem heres what I would do. Also cheaper then MMO. Fill all the cylinders with tranny fluid and let it sit a few days. Be sure to put the plugs back in so dirt etc doesn't get in the cylinders. The tranny fluid will loosen up the rings and can also do the same thing to the valves if they are stuck. You will also know which valve may be causeing the problem because when you fill the cylinders you will get some fluid out the exhaust if the exhause valves are stuck open or out the carb if there the intakes

You need to figure out if it's a spark or fuel problem; probably not both at the same time. Rings/valves do not go bad over night. And, properly connected plug wires have nothing to do with ignition timing. Is this a 6v or 12v, front or side distributor? Give us that info & you wil get plenty of help!

Bruce look down the page about 5-10 post and you will see the first post he did today about his problems and he said more down there. He has good blue fire at the plugs and he said a few other thing I don't remember.
