Can someone tell how the wires are suppost to go from the starter, to the battery ,to the switch ?
There are 3 wires. There is something else, I think it starts with a C. My father had it fixed and as
a man does, he started playing with it and now it
want crank. He had fire at one time but the starter wouldn't turn off. He had to jurk the battery cable off to stop it. Please help....

Here's a wiring diagram. There are others. I like Tyler's but can't seem to find it right now.

Alison..... .the object that you think starts with a "C" is probably the solenoid and could be mis-pronounced with a "c" sound. It is a babyfood can sized object with 2 heavy duty battery posts and a tiny little wire that goes to the starter switch over by the tranny shifter.

Unfortunately for you, I am unable to further diagnose what your daddys electrical troubles are. I funked mind reading, just ask my ex-wife..... ..Dell
