I got the right voltage regulatro today.

The field connection of the generator goes to the F on the regulator. The armature connection of the generator goes to the A on the regulator. The ground on the generator goes to the ground slot and the B on the voltage regulator should go to the ammeter loop. Correct?

SCGoatfarmer, You done right! Using that other Alterator regulater would be wishful thinking on my part.
Yes your wiring is correct. The ammeter has the battery side (wired to battery) and a Battery "load" side(ignition switch/lights/Reg. The only function of the ammeter is to indicate current flow to or from the battery.
