Picked up a John Deere 30 combine this morning. Took it for a few passes through some weedy oats. It's about all the old girl will handle. Ron

That Scour-Klean should help remove a lot of your weed seeds, wish newer combines had them. Around here, many Allis-Chalmers 60 and 66's were powered by 8N's and Fergie TEA's, just had to be quick on the clutch from time to time.

Yep your probably running that poor little N right at its upper limits of power if not over it a little. I'd almost bet the combine is made to be pulled with a tractor around 30HP or bigger so that N has its hands over full.

I believe the LUC engine option for that combine was only about 12HP.

Hard to imagine, by today's standards, where the large combines are pushing 400HP!

Yep I could believe a 12HP engine on the cmbine and then that N would just play with it but with out the engine on the combine its probably got that N maxed out
