Has any ever overhauled one of these? It's off a Sears rider mower. Started making a loud popping noise and started skipping. Would the shift keys cause this? Everything else looks ok except the input pinion bevel gear which I have replaced.

I have a 5 speed Peerless and the popping sound was spider gears going bad. The 3rd gear shift keys were worn also. Is hard for me to see the wear but it was there.

I got mine from ebay $39. Just
make sure you make all vital
measurements and ask seller to send you measurements.

The only one I've seen apart was at a friends and it was shot so He replaced it. I see a lot of peerless transaxles at this place . I'm not affliated...just a happy customer. They have a tech line too if you need detailed info
