Putting my NAA transmission together and with no shims, the countershaft spins freely. Any tricks to get preload on berrings? Going to take out gaskets and try that way. thanks, joe

I had the same questions when I put my NAA tranny back together. The general consensus is you want enough preload that you can JUST turn the input shaft with your thumb and pointer finger only. I put mine back like this and it is working perfectly.

HTH,
Dan
