I had to replace the crankshaft on my rebuild of my 1950 Ford 8N because whomever had it before welded the pulley to the crank. Could anyone tell me what size bolt and thread pattern the crankshaft pulley bolt is. Also I am not going to put a ratchet bolt on, does anyone see a problem with this? Thanks, Ray

Ray..... ...the crankshaft bolt size is 5/8-18 thread. I used a regular grade-8 5/8-18x1" bolt with flat washer on my billet steel replacement pulley for the wimpy sheetmetal OEM pulley. Torque to 150ft/lbs. (tip: stuff some 1/4" rope down enny sparkie hole to keep yer crankshaft from completely rotating when yer torqueing) Don't forget the 1/2 moon woodruff key, p/n: 74156-S; 1/4x1-1/8..... ...Dell
