The radiator I bought from our friends here at YDT does not have any mounting nuts on the bottom. It looks like I am supposed to slide some kind of mount or nut in a slot but I don"t know what is expected and the bolts used to screw into my old radiator. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to use? Square nut, hex nut, special mounting plate? PS. in a battle between a fan blade and a radiator core the fan blade wins.

Thanks for all the responses and help. The bolt size is 7/16". Could be as short as 3/4" long. I had to use 2" long as that was all I could find. Side note: Home depot does not carry 7/16" carriage bolts. I had to get them from a fastner place. Thanks again for all your help. This is a great community!

Richt: I just put a new radiator on my N. I bought a new radiator, bolt mounting kit and rubber pads from the Shelby, NC supplier. The carriage bolts in the bolt kit were a tight fit and I had to drive them in with a hammer and punch. But, the radiator is mounted solid as a rock.

Carrage bolts but I don't remember if they are 7/16 or 1/2 inch. They need to be about an inch long also. The heads will just slide right in to the slot and then you just bolt it down

I used carriage bolts. Can't remember the size right now, but they slid it okay and tightened down pretty good.
