My 9n when cold will burn anti freeze until engine warms up and expansion occurs. I'm ready to replace head gaskit. Should I check into other areas before I replace the head gaskit ?

Randy..... ..it is ALWAYS WIZE to check yer compression BEFORE you remove yer cylinder head to replace yer head gasket. It will tell you much about why you are replacing the head gasket. Then RE-CHECK the compression AFTER you gotter together to make certain you haven't missed something that wasn't obvious..... ...Dell

I would start with the gasket. Since you have the head off you might want to have it checked for cracks. Also look for cracks in the block between cylinders and valves, etc.
