My father bought Phoebe about 40 years ago. My best guess is that she is a 1940 model.(No number on the block boss. Probably a replacement motor.) Double creased back fenders and the rear wheel on the other side is a smooth hub. But there is no aluminum any place. The Ford-NH shop erroneously sold me a Ferguson pipe and muffler and it looks a little strange. But I am most interested in the front wheels - - - anybody know where they came from ? They have been there for 40 years and work just fine.

Yep, front wheels are off a mighty Ferguson.

The smooth hub indicates early 9N - they were cast as one piece and were subject to early cracking. Probably why only one is smooth.

The wheels look familiar. Perhaps 8N or Fergusson to-20?

Kids don't seem to care though, and no one will see both hubs at the same time.
