I think I have an original Marv Carb on my 8N but can't tell which model I have. On my 740 there is an attached tag but no tag on the 8N. How do I know which Carb I have so that I can get the right rebuild kit?

Thanks

Thanks Guys:

I scraped offpaint from the teardrop shaped casting on the fuel inlet side. It shows TSX 33. Oddly enough there is also a "10" on the opposite side of the fuel inlet. Don't know what that is for.

Thanks

Sometimes the number will be stamped directly into the carb body. If I remember right, it will be on a round area, directly opposite the fuel inlet.

It will be either a TSX 33,241A, 241B, or 241C if its an MS carb and they all use the same kit

I think the overhaul kit is the same for all the Marvel Schebelers used on the 9N, 2N and 8N.

Thanks Lee but this site sells at least two different kits and TSC sells about five. I just like to be sure. My 8N is a 48. I hope to get it to look as good as some of these I see on this website. I've got her down to tranny and differential. Challenge will be paint.

Thanks Again
