RP..... ..very common, its tuff to turn OFF GRAVITY. Can be caused by sticky float valve or piece of crud caught in float valve ...or... fuelfloat that has lost its floatability (sprung a leak).

You should ALWAYS TURNOFF yer under the fueltank valve when yer thru for the day. Even yer Ford OWNERS manual recommends it. (isn't than amazing?)..... ...respectfully, Dell

Yes, and yes.

A rebuild "may" stop this - for a time. However, this is extremely common on our N Series tractors and everyone turns theirs off after use - it is just habit.

Recently I have seen an electronic shut-off device that does this for you every time you stop the tractor. I thought this was pretty slick, but not sure of how durable they are.

HTH,
Dan
