I have this gizmo that is bolted to the underside of the differential of my 48 8n. It has a 16" handle that comes up on the left side, about a foot below the seat. What the heck izzit? Woulda sent a picture, but I dunno how. (( DUH ))

My 8N came with a front end loader and I have that same lever. On mine, the back of the loader frame attaches there.

Do you have any extra brackets up by the floorboards?

It seems to be a latch for some sort of implement. There are no extra brackets by the floor boards, but there ARE extra brackets on the axle housing, & there are 4 position holes in each one.

The under axle/fender brackets are most likely stabilizer brackets.
