Does anyone out there know where I could find a flathead V8 conversion for a 8N, does someone make an aftermarket kit, or do I have to get lucky and find a original? Any Info would be appreciated. Paul

Paul..... ..of the some 6-8000 Funk conversion kits (records were lost in a factory fire) only about 250-kits were made for the Ford flathead V-8. How many original V-8 kits are still running is UNKNOWN.

I know of two V-8 converter kits on the market. Do a search for Ron Stauffer V-8 kits.
And Awesome Henry V-8 conversion kits

There was an outfit in Arizona that was selling a conversion kit for Chevy V-6 which did't stretch the hood but their site doesn't come-up anymore.

And then there is the talented Marvin Baumann who has not only converted a flathead V-8, but also a Chevy V-8, Ford V-8, Plymouth V-8, and the AWESOME turbo-jet from airline APU.

But iff'n ya really want some "braggin' rights", consider SUPERCHARGING with a Chevy 454 SMOG-PUMP. You can gitt'em from junqueyard barrels for $25. Just use a NAA M/S carb so the throat faces the smogpump. Brackets are on your own. You doubt? Google "Dirt Cheap Supercharger" by Steven A Richmond..... ....Dell
