I have a serated piece and a paw on each side. What am I missing? I have to stomp the brake and flip the little paw with my finger to activate it. I live in hill country and I feel there has got to be somthing better Link
Thanks

Best after market invention available for the N's, IMHO. I've got a set of the dual brakes on two of my three N's. I'll get a set for the third N this Christmas (my tractors get Christmas presents). I'm using these brakes & I live on a generally flat 10 acres; I can only imagine what a PITA the lack of emergency brakes would be on hilly ground, not to mention a safety hazard.

I had this set of Farmech levers on my 48 8N when I bought it. I sold them as I did not like them. I was always getting them under my heel and just didn't like them in my way. I went back to the original pawl type you mention. I don't ever remember setting my brakes to hold my tractor. If it is not on level ground I just put it in 1st gear and shut the engine off. It doesn't go anywhere!
