OK, I pretty much know what this is, but I'm wondering if anyone knows about this specific piece or the company that made it.

As I see it, this is designed to tap into the test port on an 8N hydraulic pump. The T-valve handle then mounts up by the drivers right butt cheek. third party image
There are three ports on the underside of the valve box. One of them is plugged on this one.

What's left of the label says "(something) 3 Way Valve, mfg by Hydro Speed Equipment Co." Under that it looks like maybe the city and state were listed, but it's unreadable now.

Has anyone seen this in operation on a tractor?

That looks a lot like an aeronical electronically acoustinated adrlenin quencher with high torque resonance.

All four engines on a B39 had one of those.

Thats a frequency modulator used to solve the equalibrium imbalance in the time-warp continuimn. I saw one used once on Buck Rogers. Quite effective too!

I have no idea what the item is but it appears the city is Los Angeles, CA.
