Trying to fix the oil leak into the breaks on our 46' 9n. I got the bearings packed with grease, and trying to figure if the sure seals are need to be pressed into the bearing housing or do they just sit there until the nuts are tightened back up. Any help would be greatly apprecitaed.

at,
They are pressed in. I used a piece of 3" diameter black pipe about 3 foot long. Lot of guys recommend PVC pipe and I would too had I thought of it.
The edge of the sure seal that doesn't quite want to go into the housing can be chamferred slightly with a file. Then use a block of wood and a mallet on the top of the pipe to drive the seal in.
