I think I found the problem..... ....I noticed the sparkplug wire off came off the #4 that was looking a tiny bit fuel fouled before that I had cleaned and sandblasted and thought I put it back on but with the tractor running---- vwala it ran the same when I plugged it back on..... .Got some new plugs ordered ..... .let you know how that goes..... ..curious about after the sparkplug renewal if adjustment of the idle mixture screw changes anything.

I did try the propane torch idea before I notice the sparkie off and there was nada difference.

Thanks for the help..... ...I have been using my friends 48 with a after market bucket up front and its a pain ..... .can't wait till I have my baby back..... ..... .

Ron..... ...all us "GUESSERS" depend upon YOU to accuratedly describe your problem. And that you have check things for "obvious" problems.

CAUTION: your intermittant missing may be indicative of BAD SPARKIE WIRES. You doubt? go out on a DARK-NITE and watch for blue sparkies dancing on outside of yer sparkies insulation. Another sure sign of bad sparkie wires, they're hard and unflexable ...or... take a cheap AM radio tuned to no station and wave it around yer sparkies listening for sparkie static, hear some? BAD SPARKIE WIRES

Iff'n yer sparkie wires aren't soft and limp like wet noodle, replace'm with real copper-core sparkie wires cut-to-fit. DO NOT USE modern anti-static carbon-core sparkie wire. They cuttchur barely addequate sparkies too much and cause missing.

When I replaced my eazy starting 6-volt sidemount 8N's sparkie wires 15-yrs ago, I bought a set of "hot-rod" sparkie wires for Pontiac V-8 because they had molded right-angle sparkie boots to fit under the hood/tank. Most tractor stores sell real copper-core sparkie wire kits. $10 (cheap)..... ..Dell, yer self-appointed sparkie-meister
