I don't think I would want to use them on asphalt I have driven on asphalt before but I would not recommend it. They install in about an hour and steering is not that difficult. It steers with the steering wheel and can be assisted with the side brakes.

I have seen some half track setups and have unsuccessfully bid on them over the last couple of years.

I have a couple of questions regarding them: Will they damage a black-top driveway during snow removal? Is is difficult to steer and do you use your brake pedals to steer like a tank? How long does it take to install and remove the tracks?

Thanks.
